Fly Fisherman
John Perrys is a fly fisherman who enjoys creating and collecting artificial fly baits. An avid angler, Perrys has dabbled with every type of fishing technique. But by far, fly fishing is his absolute favorite! The DIY approach he is able to take in creating his own fly fishing tackle is something that keeps Perrys involved with his hobby all year-round! Even when he’s cooped up inside, unable to hit the water and cast a line out to reel in some catches… he can at least craft a colorful assortment of tackle for the trips ahead! Perrys is an active member of his local fly fishing community and attends weekly events as a mentor. He enjoys teaching others how to fly fish, including the basics of casting a line out into the water to more advanced lessons on how to create artificial flies for bait and tackle.
Artist & Environmentalist
John Perrys is a creative individual who enjoys creating sculpture art. Although he has always had a flair for creativity, Perrys didn’t always consider himself to be an artist. It wasn’t until he started volunteering in his community at ocean and beach cleanup events that he realized he had a passion for creating sculptures. That’s because Perrys constructs his sculpture art out of materials he has found on the beach and out in nature. Blending both trash that has been carelessly tossed aside on beaches and in parks with natural elements like leaves, Perrys creates truly special art sculptures. As a passionate Environmentalist who strives to promote the importance of wildlife protection and environmental conservation, Perrys makes a statement with his art.
