Jody Royer Book Review Writing Workshop

Writer and book reviewer, Jody Royer joins BEN to barter a ‘Book Review Writing Workshop’ to help assist aspiring writers through the process of editing or creating a book of their own.

Are you a writer who has yet to publish any work?  It’s never too late (or too early) to submit something for publication!  So what are you waiting for?  Perhaps you are waiting for your manuscript to feel ‘perfect’ before sending your final draft to the desk of a literary magazine editor or book publisher.  Somewhat of a perfectionist himself, Jody Royer understands the need to re-read that draft again and again and.. again.  In fact, he even encourages you to do just that!  But the trouble is, it’s easy to overlook errors or areas of your writing that don’t ‘read’ properly when you are the one who wrote the piece.  That’s why having an extra set of eyes to go over your work is so incredibly important and valuable.  Luckily, Royer has joined the Bartering Exchange Network to provide just that very service: proofreading!

Product Description

Novel Draft Proofreading

For this barter, Jody Royer will proofread a final draft copy of your latest novel.  In this workshop, Royer will be sure to look out for everything from grammatical errors to continuity concerns.  The focus of this barter is constructive in nature.  A BEN member who accepts this barter in exchange for his/her own can expect to receive technical assistance and feedback.  However, Royer will not touch on larger concepts, such as the book’s theme, how likely it is to be published, etc.

Book Review

This barter is ideal for a writer who is already a published author.  To qualify for this barter, you must have published a book of your own which is currently available for purchase, either as an eBook or hardcopy.  Self-published pieces are completely acceptable;  Jody Royer is actually a huge supporter of self-publishing and enjoys working with authors who have gone through the process!  For this barter, Royer will review your book the same way he reviews books of his own choosing.  This book review will be featured in an upcoming blog series on Royer’s official site.
