As far as Peter Abbonizio is concerned, there’s no such thing as natural instrumental talent.  Even the most influential instrumentalists in the industry would have never been heard had they not practiced playing their instrument!  You may not become a rockstar guitarist if you pick up a guitar at 75, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still learn chords that’ll impress your holiday houseguests!  Regardless of age or ability at the start, anyone can learn how to play an instrument.  As an instrumental music teacher, Peter sets out to inspire each and every one of his students to embrace that notion.  Now, here on the Bartering Exchange Network, the music teacher brings his instrumental music education experience to members of BEN for free!

How to Play Guitar

For this barter, Peter Abbonizio will teach you the very basics of playing guitar.  Starting with what he believes every guitar player should begin with each time they pick up a guitar: tuning!  Via a Zoom hosted lesson, Peter will teach you how to tune your instrument for playing.  He will also introduce you to introductory level chords.  From this lesson, you will end the call knowing how to tune your instrument and play 1 complete song!  

How to Play Piano (or Keyboard)

Is your grandmother’s piano collecting dust in the parlor?  Dust those keys off and bring those strings back to life with an introductory lesson on how to play piano with Peter Abbonizio!  For this barter, Abbonizio will introduce you to your piano in a basic manner.  This will include becoming familiar with the distinction of white and black keys.  He will also teach you how to play simple chords that can be used to play 1 complete song.
