Art Teacher and Photographer Instructor J. Benjamin Quinton is looking to barter two introductory photography and art lessons. 

This barter is open to artists of all ability levels… even if you don’t consider yourself to be an “artist” at all!  Like many other creatives, J. Benjamin Quinton wasn’t always an artist either.  It wasn’t until the avid world traveler decided to try his hand at a photography portfolio of snapshots from his journeys, that he realized he had a passion for creating art.  Now the Kansas based Art Teacher and Photography Instructor teaches a variety of courses teaching others how to hone their creative skills.  Exclusively on the Bartering Exchange Network, Quinton is offering two introductory classes:

Freelance Photography Instruction

For this barter Benjamin Quinton will teach a 15 minute class on the basic mechanics of a camera.  Although you are encouraged to bring your own camera to the class, Quinton will primarily teach his lesson on his own camera.  In this class, the Freelance Photography Instructor will discuss the basics of getting started as a photographer.  He will offer suggestions on places to practice your photography, as well as offer up crucial tips on how to get the most out of your camera.  Even if the only camera you currently have is attached to your smartphone, you can still start creating your own beginner’s photography portfolio!  J. Ben Quinton will teach you how.

Intro to Art Class

This ten minute art class is a preview of Ben Quinton’s typical introduction to art classes.  For this barter, Quinton will teach you how to apply elements of art and design to your nature photography snapshots.  He will also introduce you to art and design concepts, as well as teach you how to frame a shot live and in nature.
